Scope: Millions of users nationwide

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) mandated the use of Know Your Customer (KYC) documents like PAN, AADHAAR, CKYC, and other Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA) documents for customer onboarding by insurance companies starting from January 2023. Our company embarked on a mission to create an SDK that streamlines and simplifies the onboarding process for these insurance giants while ensuring a seamless experience for millions of users across India.

User Research

1. Stakeholder Interviews: Conducted interviews with key stakeholders at each insurance company to understand their unique onboarding challenges, regulatory concerns, and technology constraints.
2. User Surveys: Administered surveys to policyholders and insurance agents to gather insights into their expectations, pain points, and preferences during the onboarding journey.

Competitive Analysis

Analyzed existing solutions in the market to identify gaps and opportunities. Studied best practices in the insurance industry and relevant SDKs in other sectors for inspiration.

User Adoption

The SDK seamlessly integrated into the onboarding workflows of all six major insurance companies, causing minimal disruption and accelerating their customer acquisition processes.

Enhanced Efficiency

Insurance agents reported a remarkable reduction in onboarding time, resulting in increased productivity and higher customer satisfaction.

Future Enhancements

1. Biometric Verification: Implement biometric authentication for enhanced security.
2. Multi-Language Support: Expand language support to cater to a more diverse user base.
3. Integration with e-Signatures: Enable electronic signatures for a fully paperless onboarding experience.

Project Overview

The AI API Marketplace is an online platform designed to provide users of all ages and backgrounds with a simple and accessible way to explore, demo, subscribe to, and manage various AI APIs. This case study will focus on the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design process for this platform, with an emphasis on usability and accessibility. The platform also offers one-click login options using Gmail and Twitter to streamline the registration process.

Objective

Create a user-friendly, visually appealing, and intuitive platform that allows users to easily discover, try, subscribe to, and manage AI APIs.

To better understand our target audience, we identified three user personas:

Based on user personas, we identified key user needs:

• Discover APIs: Users want an easy way to find and explore different AI APIs.
• Demo APIs: Users should be able to test APIs before subscribing.
• Subscribe and Pay: Seamless subscription and payment processes.
• Dashboard: An intuitive dashboard to manage API subscriptions.
• One-Click Login: Quick registration using Gmail and Twitter.
